Growing up during the early stages of Hip Hop RemiRaw lives for the culture.
As an artist RemiRaw aka Mr.13 represents every kid who grew up on Beat street, Wild Style, and Style Warz. Remi remembers
watching Ralph McDaniels playing all the classics from KRS, Slick Rick, Doug Freshie, The Fat Boyz, to LL Cool Jay. He
states that he didn't start rapping till later on in his life. At first RemiRaw did graffiti with Lost and the crew
Disciples of Graffiti. After many years of painting and making money off design Remi was inspired. Remi states " I wrote
a couple of verses, and cats were feeling me. But I didn't start feeling the love for rap till after I finished School.
At that point in my life I had experienced so many crazy things. I just needed a way to vent and release some of the anger
I had stuck inside. I stopped doing graff and started painting pictures with words."
Since Remi started rapping he has been featured in several websites, magazines,
radio stations, shows, battles, and mixed cds. Working with DJ's such as DJ WHO SHOT YA, Ace of Spades, and
Arcane, Remi has managed to reach East to the West Coast and air play in Ontario Canada. In 2004 Remi performed at such
spots as The Bowery Poetry Club, Mi Casa su Casa, The Cure, and many other spots in NYC. In 2005 RemiRaw will be
featured on The East Coast Mafia CD, available for sale on March 15, 2005. His long awaited debut album entitled
Raw Visions will be released sometime in the summer. Remi will also feature on Lost Present The Band Of Brother
